About Us

Mary Alexander, LPC

I believe that to truly help the individual in therapy one must consider the entire individual including mind, body, and soul. I enjoy working with all age groups and have much experience working with children. I have worked in a wide variety of settings: women's residence, outdoor therapeutic program, group home, and partial hospitalization program. I have been in private practice since 2003 and opened my own practice in 2011.

I enjoy working with all age groups. I work with a significant number of mood disorders: depression, bipolar, and anxiety. I have an extensive amount of experience working with couples. I utilize play therapy when working with younger clients. Rather than speaking verbally, young children use the language of play. I have over 20 years of experience in the field of counseling.

I became a licensed professional counselor in 2000. I received my second master's degree in Christian Psychological Studies from Psychology Studies Institute currently Richmont Graduate University.
